About this listen

Beth Cornett is the town good girl, so staying out of the way of the motorcycle club's dangerous members is a no-brainer. Unfortunately, Beth manages to catch the eye of Razer, who has every intention of tempting her despite her misgivings. When her worst fears are realized, Beth is left heartbroken and determined to forget her walk on the wild side. Razer will not change for any woman, not even Beth.

He realizes his mistake too late, however, and she is not about to forgive and forget. It takes a killer intent on targeting Beth to bring her back to him and the Last Riders for protection. Razer may have learned his lesson, but as long as she is at the club, Beth has to play by their rules.

Love this series

What a Series, I am up to book 5 now and am addicted. All of the books have had parts where I have felt like I have been Kicked in the gut, and heart sick for the characters. While the storey has been uncomfortable at times, it has felt inspiring at the same time. Maybe there could be a little more time on the bikes though.

not for me

Nope to the trope, nope to the H and nope to the h.
I just could not warm to Razer, he was definitely arrogant and self righteous with a whole lot of nasty. I don't know if it's the dialogue he was given or the actual character the author created.
I didn't like what and how he intercated with the h and then to make it worse Beth just took her values and morals and rolled over. She was manipulated too easy.
This book, although MC is totally and sadly, negatively mysoginistic.
The depth of this plotline is not enough for me. A lot of steam and her personal situation does not
convince me the h could be a biker girl.
Her dire circumstances seems to take a back seat to getting her to loosen up.
I did like the occupation surrounding the boys, that was unique.
However I'm used to manda mellett and tillie cole novels so this is just too light.
Especially when her life is at risk.
The story doesn't work for me at all.
Just nope. I'm disappointed as I love MC series.
I was hoping for more intrigue than sexual awakening which is what this story seems to be centered around. Elizabeth Hart I always enjoy as a narrator

A Bikie Soap Opera

Nothing extraordinary to see here unless your idea of high romance is having your girl's name tattooed in a highly strategic, very private place as a proof of love - tear jerker moment apparently. A listenable, clearly articulated read with a standard story line. Good as a study of the basics for budding writers who are good with orgies and the usual good girl meets bad-boy line. I would probably try more in this series out of curiosity as it's so popular. If you doze off it's repetitive enough to explain the key action drivers you may have missed so advantageous for a late-night read.
