About this listen

Josh met Drew for the first time at his sister's wedding to the 27-year-old marine. The 18-year-old Josh, a college freshman, is on Christmas break and offers to help Drew move his belongings from Denver to San Diego. It is the dead of winter, and the two young men find themselves stranded by a blizzard while crossing the Rockies. They are fortunate enough to make it to an old motel where they are welcomed by Molly, the motel's elderly owner; they secure the last available room.

Learning that the mountain highway has been closed in both directions and will be for at least three days, the marine and college boy can only hunker down and make the most of it. The storm eventually takes out the power, and as the thermostat in the old room plummets, Drew shares how he and his marine buddy, Nelson, once survived a frigid night in a cave at the mercy of Afghanistan's arctic-like mountains.

Reluctantly, Josh decides sleeping essentially naked in the marine's military sleeping bag next to the bona fide stud, probably beats freezing to death.

Being stuck in a blizzard with a new relative can breed familiarity or possibly contempt.

This is a fun and romantic story about coming to terms with a new and perhaps unusual lifestyle. The story does not end with a cliffhanger but rather a sweet HEA. This short 30,000-word novella is not meant for anyone under 18 years of age, nor is it intended for adults who are offended by detailed male-to-male sex or a bisexual lifestyle.

Note: This book was previously published under the same title. This second edition has been updated with an augmented ending to enhance listener enjoyment; also, many grammatical errors have been corrected and some syntactic structure reworded.
