Publisher's Summary
A lush, tropical island on an icy planet makes no sense.
Then again, not much makes sense anymore after waking up and finding myself not in bed but on a strange world populated by aliens. Since that moment, I've learned that nothing is normal anymore and I've got to roll with the punches. I can handle this, though. I'm strong and capable.
So...washed up on a tropical island? Got it handled.
Separated from the others in my group? Handled.
Stranded alone with a brutal but delicious alien man that can't speak English but has great...ahem...body language? Yup, handled.
Add in the fact that my cootie - a symbiont I need to survive - has chosen my big, hulking alien friend as my fated mate? Let's just say that the situation isn't the only thing that's going to be handled.
But it isn't long before I learn that the tropical island paradise is a death trap and we're all in grave danger, aliens, and humans alike. To survive this, I'll need my tempting guy to give me a hand with the situation...good thing he's got four of them.
Contains mature themes.

Great Read
This book was very much a feel-good romance. This series does connect with the Ice Planet Barbarians series, however, it can be read as a standalone series. Each book in this series has different romances which I'm sure you could tell just by looking at the names of each of the books but this story concentrates more on the story between Lauren and K'thar. I have read only the first book in this series and the first book in the Ice Planet Barbarians but I found that I liked Ice Planet Barbarians more enjoyable because it definitely helped describe things more and while I'm sure Ruby Dixon meant to do that to show the lack of knowledge each character has, it definitely left the descriptions quite vague. If you are someone who likes these kinds of facts then I would definitely recommend Ice Planet Barbarians to be read first. However, this series does give you enough description to have a basic understanding of what is happening. If you have read the blurb and think you might like it, or have read Ruby Dixon's books before and find her writing enjoyable then I would definitely recommend this book to you. Enjoy!

Entertaining
This Icehome story is about K'thar and Lauren. After being abducted by alien slavers Lauren awakens on the planet the locals call Icehome and it is freezing but the locals are friendly and even have some human female mates. But following a series of events some funny she finds herself stranded away from the community with Marisol another abductee and they are seperated and Lauren finds herself with K'thar a huge blue alien with four arms and the ability to camouflage himself and he is very attracted to Lauren and she finds herself falling for him. There are more challenges to face for the couple and some of it is quite amusing. I found the story quite enjoyable

the first in the series for me
well I was wondering how Ruby was going to intermingle this new series yet still keep the IPB boys ever present, it's answered here. if you don't know how lauren got this place. the answer is in book 14 of IPB.
now to this book. I get we have the cootie and I seriously don't mind for its an integral part of the plotline running through Ruby's books. without the whole lot wouldn't work.
but I thought lauren might have held out a bit longer. Crikey even Ellie and Lila waited.
I felt a little disjointed listening to this but I put it down to a new series. the new description of our new aliens is a little harder to dream 'alpha' than just our barbarian boys.
the communication agenda gives a little toehold to questions ehile the ending is kinda nice as old characters make an appearance.
I don't know about swamping myself again as I like action and some are to much about romance..so I'll be choosey methinks.
Felicity was fantastic and Sean..Omg, your voice had a bit more grit than what I've listened to, with you before. Your perfect. Mason Lloyd is terrific but your up there Sean.
still has the steamy scenes. A few old enemies appearing as more of a threat and some animosity makes it a little more angsty, but I enjoyed that I got answers to the storyline so I know where it's going. still a few questions out there so I'll keep looking for the books that lean toward action.

***Omg Amazing***
I love you Ruby Dixon for not giving up on our blue barbarian babes and their human girls. This is another amazing beginning for a spin off series (is it) its just blows my mind how does Ruby comes up with this story lines from hehe but no matter i am grateful she does because i would sink into depression to see the series ends. The narrators are both excellent, Felicity can even portrays both males and females easily but I am.glad they have a Sean Crisden for the male characters, his voice is so deep and sexy *sighs*.

Light reading
In all the book is not bad, I enjoyed the thought that love can be that intense. I am looking forward to reading book two. The male narrator's voice didn't match the character in my opinion.

Not that great, don't waste your credit
i found there wasn't enough of an intro to the characters and how they got to the alien world. The middle was good but the ending was flat and unsatisfying and still to many details left out.
