About this listen

It's not every day that a beautiful, naked woman falls out of the sky and lands face-first on grizzly shifter Berg Dunn's hotel balcony. Definitely, they don't usually hop up and demand his best gun. Berg gives the lady a grizzly-sized t-shirt and his cell phone, too, just on style points. And then she's gone, taking his XXXL heart with her. By the time he figures out she's a honey-badger shifter, it's too late.

Honey badgers are survivors. Brutal, vicious, ill-tempered survivors. Or maybe Charlie Taylor-MacKilligan is just pissed that her useless father is trying to get them all killed again, and won't even tell her how. Protecting her little sisters has always been her job, and she's not about to let some pesky giant grizzly protection specialist with a network of every shifter in Manhattan get in her way. Wait. He's trying to help? Why would he want to do that? He's cute enough that she just might let him tag along - that is, if he can keep up....

Contains mature themes.

Laughter guaranteed 🤣

I am not normally a fan of a single narrator when I know that there is a male lead, but I must say this one is very well done with accents and all. I have read this book more than once and even with all the action the laughs just keep rolling. My only suggestion is that you read The Pride series first to get the full experience of this story.

Very entertaining

Really enjoyed this story. Loved the characters and laughed out loud many times (not normal for me). Story was great with a bit of romance thrown in.

Loved listening to this whilst being busy.

Loved listening to this whilst doing housework or driving. BOOK REVIEW Once again total craziness abounds. Three half-sisters with the most amazing amount of talent, craziness, ability and downright ability to survive. The bear street was just so cool with everything going on. Max and Stevie were wonderfully intense and nuts respectively. Liked the new characters we met and loved that we had some of my favourite characters popping in to this story. I loved that Charlie is worse than Dee Ann and Cella. Never thought I would see the day those two were whooped. Not too sure about the father still being alive. Thought the two crazy aunts and Mairi was enough to go forward with. The reason I took a star away was the lack of romance between Charlie and Berg. Just didn’t feel the love and three quarters of the way into the book they really didn’t seem to even be getting together, then all of a sudden they were having sex. Will I be reading the rest of this series? YOU BET.

Best series ever

I love Shelly's books and this is the first series I've heard with audible and it was funny, well spoken and I loved the accents. Great story plot and it was good to see cameos from previous characters.

Great story when I could hear it

The story is as funny and enjoyable as I remembered and I liked the narrator’s voice….when I could hear it. The male voices (berg & Dutch especially) were so soft that even if I turned the volume up, I struggled to hear them. It’s not the first book I’ve had this issue with but I hope the narrators can all be more conscious of this.

Doesn't hit the mark

Shelley Laurenston's shifter series contain some of my all time favourite books, but this audio book just wasn't working for me even after I have it a few hours.
I finally realised it's how droll the narrator's voice is - there's sardonic and then there's dull.
This book deserved to be read with so much more life!
