Publisher's Summary

When two hearts speak as one, no words are needed.

Chloe Williams has waited four long years for her mate to acknowledge her. Time and again he has turned her away for being too young, even when she was hospitalized, recovering from a beating that left lingering aftereffects. Now that he's been turned into a Wolf, his mating instincts are kicking in big time. Chloe has to decide if it's worth risking her heart yet again.

Ten years older than Chloe and dealing with issues she knows nothing about, veterinarian James Woods is about ready to howl in frustration. He's been drawn to Chloe since she was a radiant 19-year-old college student, but the age difference held him back from making a move on her. Now his Wolf wants what's his, and Jim is finally in a place where he can claim her. Between meddling mothers, Hunter brothers, and a mystery that threatens to end Chloe's life, they might find an opportunity to tell each other just how they feel. Or find themselves separated by more than just misunderstood words.

Warning: This audiobook contains explicit sex, graphic language, and two people who finally get their damn act together.

I really want the rest of this series written.

AUDIBLE REVIEW 2021 I really, really, want the rest of this series written so we can find out what is going on. Must say I enjoyed this more in audible than I did the book, maybe due to the fact I haven’t have to wait between stories. Saying that I know there is nothing written after the next book. BOOK REVIEW 2016 This book was a long time in coming and did not do justice to all the prior build up for it. Whilst we get more information on the background story, we still focus on Chloe who has been waiting for her mate for four years. Jim had his reasons for ignoring Chloe over the years and because he was not a shifter, he did not feel the mating pull. Once he was attacked and turned it is a different story and he does give Chloe credit for her strength for coping with the mating dreams. Whilst I can understand where he was coming from, it was extremely hurtful to Chloe. I think if Jim had been told the truth by his mother of how serious Chloe's injuries were, I believe things would have been different. I really wish Jim had stood up to his psychotic mother sooner but everything was all happening at once and Jim was on overload. She gets off too lightly for me. Even with all the tension and sadness the story still shines. I realise his brother Spencer was important but that had not taken up all of his life, it was a good excuse but not good enough. Poor Chloe, going through everything she has and still being such a wonderful bright character. She is a superstar and I hope when the puzzle of the white shifters is solved that somehow Chloe gets healed so she can resume her career. It seems only fair. Jim’s brother Spencer is awesome, what a great character.
