About this listen
Jon Erskine had made a good life for himself as one of the top forensic accounts and systems analysts in the country. He doesn't mind working with paranormal clients - after all, he's a shifter himself. However, he could do without all the slurs and derogatory comments. Not all shifters are wolves, bears, or other predators. Still, his expertise and reputation is solid, and Jon is more than capable of holding his own. That is, until Dirk Hollingsworth runs from his office.
Dirk is running out of time. He has to find out who's been stealing from his company before his father turns up for his wedding in three weeks time. Acting on the recommendation of a friend, Dirk turns to Jon, or at least thinks about it. That is, until he catches the man's scent in the doorway of his office and does a runner. Not the proudest moment for one of the proudest of all shifters, but Dirk has a responsibility to his clan and catching the tantalizing scent of a dog isn't going to change anything. Or so he thinks.

Sizzling enemies-to-lovers supernatural romance!
As a dog shifter and forensic accountant, Jon Erskine prides himself on his loyalty to his customers, it’s just a part of his nature. So he’s conflicted when he encounters his true fated mate, snobby dragon shifter Dirk Hollingsworth, who wants nothing to do with him. With an impending arranged marriage, Dirk is hoping to please his traditional family and his own homophobia by rejecting Jon, but he only succeeds in harming his health and weakening his power by defying his inner dragon. Jon will have to be patient with Dirk and in the meantime he’ll try and find out who is embezzling vast sums from Dirk’s family company.
Look, I didn’t warm to Dirk at first, he’s arrogant and rude, but then I realised this was an essential part of his dragon nature and his upbringing. He does come to his senses and the romance was satisfyingly steamy from then on. I also liked the embezzlement mystery and felt the mildly angsty problems were all solved pretty easily once the romance resolved—overall it was a fairly light feel-good story. Voice artist Sean Crisden is always excellent and he really enhanced this story a lot, especially his growly dragon voice!

pride and prejudice and shifters
dragon's heart by Lisa Oliver. dragon's with so much pride and the common prejudices for other shifters below them. love the outline of this but would of love a bit more angst prior to the first close proximity.
