About this listen
You'd think a demon could take a break after stopping a hell portal from opening and an assassin from killing innocents, but fate has something else planned for Brian and Raphael. There is no rest for the wicked. And speaking of wicked, the more Brian learn about his demonic inhabitant, the more grateful he is that he'd been chosen. Being an Agoto has enabled him to help people who have no idea what lurks in the gutters of society.
When a new threat emerges, Brian and Raphael have to pull out all the stops to prevent their king's evil brother, Katashniel, from breaking through the eighth gate and bringing his hellish army with him. As always, if that wasn't enough to cope with, it looks as though Brian's second mate just stepped into his life. He knows he has to turn him into a demon...he just hope his new mate can forgive him.
Listener Advisory: This book is filled with sarcastic demons, devilish charm, and enough steam to fog up all of the windows in your home or car. And a plot that will keep you engaged until you finish the last minute. 18 and older. Content may be sensitive to some listeners. Discretion is advised.
Contains episodes Chance, Havoc, and Mayhem.

Lousy Narration
It’s a pity Michael O’Shea didn’t continue narrating this series. This is a great series but Maxx Power reads waaay too fast, like he’s speed reading. No sense of timing and pacing. He’s like a robot. Is he a robot? There’s a reason books have sentences, full stops and paragraphs. I’m not sure he took a single breath! He reads about how sensual Raphael is and it’s like a nervous boy doing a report in front of class on the female reproductive system. Terrible, awful, waste of time. Horrible. Just horrible.
