Great book

Great book! The bag of tools in this book are life changing for those with a sexual addiction. Having tried a 12 step program for sex addicts, this book is a good handbook for folks to have on hand as they do the program. I personally found the 12 step program too extreme for my situation; whereas this book with the tools and advice it contains was far more useful and applicable to my situation. The tools are many; with each addressing different aspect of sexual addiction and at different levels. If used well together, it packs a formidable punch into acting out. Doing the exercises I could see the results almost immediately. Great book highly recommend ! And a big thank you to the author!

Dangerous Book

This book is dangerous in my view. It strongly promotes the ideas that sex compulsively is due to some past trauma. It suggests that such trauma has led to "sub personalities". It makes you search for stories in your past to explain behaviours even when they may not exist or be significant. This in my view is psychoanalysis gone too far. There are other simpler and more practical explanations and approaches. I think the ideas in this book may explain the authors past addiction but may not relate correctly with average people who are struggling with porn accessibility in the porn pandemic age.
