About this listen
Savannah Dupree is a freshman studying at Boston University on a full scholarship. But Savannah possesses something even more remarkable than a quick mind and an insatiable curiosity for learning. With a simple touch, she can see an object's past - a skill that puts her life in danger when her studies bring her into contact with a centuries-old English sword and the terrible secret hidden within the blade's history. In all his 300 years of living as one of the Breed, vampire warrior Gideon never dreamed he'd ever again see the blade that ended his young brothers' lives ages ago in London. There's one certain way to prove Gideon's suspicion, but it will mean using Savannah to help uncover the truth. With danger closing in from all sides, the passion that ignites between Gideon and Savannah will tempt them to risk their hearts and lives for a love that might just last an eternity.
Contains mature themes.

Midnight Breed is a series I fall into occasionally when I see something that reminds me of it.
The good vampires battle bad vampires with human mates is a popular trope in vampire romance. I'm talking Dark series by Christine Feehan, Black Dagger Brotherhood by JR Ward, even Twilight.
It's successful for a reason.
Midnight Breed works this trope well with the added twist of the origins of the Breed being more alien. I love that.

Narrator killed this for me
Just a personal preference but the voice of the female in this annoyed me so much. I love easy southern accents. This was just painful.
