Brought both series together
You’ll be a little lost if you haven’t listened to the Hades series, they aren’t just his version of her books, there was heaps going on when he wasn’t with Persephone that is referenced in this book. Hera’s trials, the ophiotaurus, Dionysus and Ariadne as a few examples.
I especially love the banter between Hades, Hermes and Hecate that you don’t really see in the Persephone series.
Not the biggest fan of the male narrator’s voice, but you get used to it. I would have liked if they also showed Ariadne’s perspective.

I don’t want it to be over
Truely hope this isn’t the last book in the series! I am obsessed!
I do like the combination of the two narrator to bring together this series with the Hades series

What a shame
The story could have been epic, there had been a 2 book built up for the great final fight. And for it to end in 1 page and yet another sex scene just made you feel like you might as well not read the book at all. Overall the series lacked depth. Characters like Hermes gave the book some personality but it mostly stayed flat, Persephone fighting the same insecurities all book long and all, but well and truly all males in de book come across as simpletons that only follow their penis. (And I thought it was meant to be fiction, lol)
In saying this I did read all 4 books and if you skip most sex scenes it it is a decent read that does not require much brainpower

Mixed feelings but still enjoyed
I was dying to listen to this especially after the way the third book ended. While it had some good sections, it felt very anticlimactic and like it just needed to wrap up. In saying all this, the bonus chapter was great and I thoroughly enjoyed that.

The female narrator was great
I liked this series overall. I am not sure why the male narrator didn’t compare notes with the way the female narrator spoke for Hades. He could have tried to make them sound the same. It was very distracting

The Narration switch
The need to switch narration style nearly lost me, but i pushed through it.
The range in character voice / tone was lost with the male narrator for me and there was a total disconnect in style. If it wasn’t for the fact i wanted to know how it ended i would have let it go

WHY TF DID THEY GET A NEW GUY!? LET MEG WORK!
This kind of book loses a lot of trust when you introduce a new narrator where Meg had PERFECT delivery. The man, Tyler, sounds like he is reading a biology textbook. He voices the gods with an uneccessarily slow pace making them sound performative and inauthentic. His voice is nasal and twangy and he sounds like he can't relate to material at all. Meg nails the delivery of every character, male or female, and Tyler needs to just stay out of it because he ruins it utterly - I barely even wamt to listen because he is so grating compared to what I was expecting.
It was honestly such an isolating experience and desperately unfair to loyal readers who had this book on pre-order like myself - I would have waited for a sample to be released had I know they intended to introduce a new reader. I feel like someone has barged in on my private experience and I have hated every second of the Theseus chapters so far. I haven't even finished the book yet and I don't know if I can even though I love the story and am desperate to know what happens.
Very upset at this seemingly last minute change to an established and much loved atmosphere.

Bit of a disappointment
I reread the previous books just before this one and I have to say, I found this instalment almost jarring in comparison. The tone was different to previous books and it felt like it had been put together at the last minute, there’s been a last minute addition of a bunch of characters and their story lines. Ultimately the ending was fine, but I didn’t love it. Also the male narrator was a bit meh. Sounded like he was explaining crypto currency to me.

could've been better
I honestly loved the previous books and zoomed through them unable to stop listening is one however was a little disappointing, it was a little slow in my opinion and though it was rushed.
i dont regret reading it cause it left a cliff hanger last book but I must admit it was a little dull in my opinion
