About this listen
The resolution of Weston's story in the Wall Street Journal Bestselling Deliciously Dark Fairytales world.
He wasn't supposed to fall in love.
Weston has made a mess of things. Since he realized the woman he was supposed to find and bring to justice was his true mate, things have spiraled out of control. He's gone from one bad decision to the next, and now the situation threatens to topple down around him.
The good news is, Aurelia isn't responsible for hurting people. She isn't the one who should stand in front of the dragons and plead for her life.
If only the dragons and their kingdom agreed.
Weston must try to relay the truth and protect his true mate, all while she struggles to work through her past, his deceit, and her new life in opposition to the one woman she'd thought of as her mother.
Aurelia must go to war, and Weston will do everything he can to ensure she comes out alive.
This is the conclusion to the duet and ends in an HEA. All loose ends are tied up.

Fantastic series. Highly recommended. K.F. Breene has done it again. works in well with her previous series. You will want to read it again and again...

I couldn't stop listening!
Normally I only listen in the car and while I might sit extra in the car to keep listening it just wasn't enough for this book. KF Breene has got me so addicted to her storytelling that I actually cleaned my house because I had to keep going.
Weston had me under his spell from the beginning and while he sat back in this part of the duet to allow Aurelia the choice, his strength and passion still came to the forefront when required.
Aurelia is sooo special and to find she was part fairy and part of the reason people are drawn to her was so satisfying. Watching her friendship bloom with Finley was brilliant. As for the side characters- I love this world so much I want to go back and read the words this time, just to be closer to Hadriel, Vemar, Leila and Hanon.
KF Breene is such a joyous writer, I have loved all the parts of this world from the action to the spice to the creativity, that I long to read more as they come.
The narrators were amazing. The voices for each character on point, I would happily listen to them a lot also.

Not as good as the other books
Bit of a let down, main storyline was anticlimactic when resolved and overall any issue encountered during the plot seemed to resolve immediately with ease rather than actual tension building issues. Explicit scenes also seemed of poorer quality than other books in the series.

A Cage of Kingdoms
This book has everything from laugh out loud moments, to swoon melt your heart and some angst and heartache. I liked the twist on Red, Granny & the wolf. I really enjoyed this book!! From start to finish I could not put it down.

Not for me
This would have been 2 stars if I hadn’t loved the rest of this series/world.
Everything felt too rushed. The relationship never had a chance to develop and nothing actually felt intimate. It was all too public.
Finley was not Finley. Her character was too different and I didn’t like it.
The ending felt incomplete and rushed. The narration was ok, like all the others it was dual narration.
