Still, Together is an exploration of the ways we feel detachment from our lives, goals and friendships, and how we can begin to reclaim ourselves through human connection. Technology has enabled us to be more connected than ever before, but in many ways, it has come at the cost of our sense of humanity. The reality is that we live in a world where innovation promises to keep us more up-to-date and connected but leaves us feeling more disconnected than ever before.

Story
At 41 - with two teenagers and a contentedly unadventurous life - Heather Hawkins made a doctor's appointment. Diagnosed with stage one ovarian cancer, within nine days she had surgery to remove an 18cm tumour and a full hysterectomy. Instead of chemotherapy, she chose a noninvasive surveillance treatment. The experience reignited Heather's adventurous and invincible spirit. At 47 she pulled on an old pair of shorts and runners and struggled to the end of a four kilometres mothers' day fun run with her kids.

Publisher's Summary
2017 Audie Award Finalist for Audiobook of the Year
The megatalented creator of Grey's Anatomy and Scandal and executive producer of How to Get Away with Murder chronicles how saying yes for one year changed her life - and how it can change yours, too.
With three hit shows on television and three children at home, the ubertalented Shonda Rhimes had lots of good reasons to say no when an unexpected invitation arrived. Hollywood party? No. Speaking engagement? No. Media appearances? No.
And there was the side benefit of saying no for an introvert like Shonda: nothing new to fear.
Then Shonda's sister laid down a challenge: Just for one year, try to say yes to the unexpected invitations that come your way. Shonda reluctantly agreed - and the result was nothing short of transformative. In Year of Yes, Shonda Rhimes chronicles the powerful impact saying yes had on every aspect of her life - and how we can all change our lives with one little word. Yes.

Year of Yes
The title says it all, this one of the books I read when i was going through some self growth and self love journey which changed the way I think. I started saying yes to the things I wouldn't have said yes to. This book gives you the vibes of living the life that you want and trying new things and doing things that only you want to say yes to. If you need a little push in the right direction from a great writer this is is. I had to read a chapter every few days as I didn't want to finish it, yes it is that good.

Relatable and inspiring
I've only seen a few episodes of her many tv successes, but now I want to see them all just to get more Shonda in my life! By the end of the book, it is hard to believe that she was ever any different, so deep was her transformation. Hugely inspiring.

Honest and entertaining
An open and honest story which had me hanging on every word. I loved how real she was about her struggles but also the Cleary way she mixed humour into it. It was like listening to an old friend you hadn’t seen in years
