This is not just a different name for self-doubt. It is pervasive and goes directly to your sense of self-worth and belonging. You don’t need a confidence hack. You need to go to the root cause of your feelings of unworthiness and learn to trust that you are enough.

Story
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

Publisher's Summary
A no-nonsense and helpful guide on how to cope with a slew of mental-health issues that are hell-bent on ruining the lives of millions of people worldwide
Our brains do their best to help us out, but every so often they can be real assholes - having meltdowns, getting addicted to things, or shutting down completely at the worst possible moments. Your brain knows it's not good to do these things, but it can't help it sometimes - especially if it's obsessing about trauma it can't overcome. That's where this life-changing book comes in.
With humor, patience, science, and lots of good-ole swearing, Dr. Faith explains what's going on in your skull, and talks you through the process of retraining your brain to respond appropriately to the non-emergencies of everyday life, and to deal effectively with old, or newly acquired, traumas (particularly post-traumatic stress disorder).

Good content - poor production
The author & reader should have invested in a better microphone.
I don’t want to hear you turning the book or have poor sound quality.
Only thing missing is a bird or a dog barking in the background.
I’ll probably buy the hard copy to get the content
Damn shame!

Narration
The content is great however the narration really let this material down.
The audio sounds like it’s been recorded in a sparsely furnished room, as it’s tinny and has a distinct echo.
The narrator speaks incredibly fast, like she’s trying to say all the words at once. The space and breath that should exist between punctuation to permit the words enough time to settle simply isn’t there. Finally, the narrator is speaking so fast that her punctuation often deteriorated to the the point that words begin to slur together and it becomes difficult to decipher what she has said…further compounded by the speed.
On quite a few occasions I found myself exhausted trying to listen and had to turn it off.
I wasn’t able to finish the audio version of the book and instead switched to a kindle version and just read it the old fashioned way.

The language is too distracting
I swear a lot, the title swears in it, and yet I still wasn't prepared for the distracting delivery in the book. I couldn't get through the whole thing which is disappointing since, I get the sense that the book itself is probably informative.
I guess I've now realised that when trying to deliver an intelligent message, swearing actually steals the lime light. In this book it was just a bit excessive as well.
In terms of the content, I personally find it to be a dumbed down version of a smart idea. It's not for me.
