What an Inspiration
I absolutely loved listening to this book. I grew up listening to her songs and watching her movies. I admire her drive and efforts to make this a better world to live in and for standing up for women through out her career. I think I will go back to the beginning and listen to it all over again.

Honest, entertaining and a great insight into the mind and heart of a living legend.
You feel as if you truly accompany Barbra through the years and her maturation in her professional and personal lives. Her feminist values and interest in politics balances beautifully with the theatre/film detail and her exploration of her pain with her mother is frank and truthful - not whining, which she had every right to do.

Fun & interesting afternoons chatting with Barbra! Can you imagine?
I truly feel like I did spend many wonderful afternoons drinking tea, with Barbra Streisand. She was so present, and engaging; and just across the other side of my lounge room, sharing so much and talking to me of all people! I swear I sometimes forgot it wasn't so, because her language and manner were so informal and her stories so relateable.
I love how her words, and her voice rang true to me. This is not a document which seeks to persuade, shock or impress. This is an intimate, generous sharing of a shy and private woman's life — her very famous and celebrated life experiences, yes, but also her thoughts, feelings, failings, passions, fears, strengths, hopes opinions and beliefs. And to hear it told in her own gorgeous voice I am filled with gratitude.

an excellent adventure into the history and character of an icon
it was gripping, despite the length. Barbra narration felt intimate, personal. An insight into show business, the battles women need to fight, a trip through social, political and entertainment history. The actual snippets of music/ singing were a treasure. I need to buy the physical book and sit and read as Barbra narrates. Highly recommended to Barbra fans but anyone who wants a glimpse into a different world

Brilliant - loved getting to know Babs
At first I thought 44 hours was a download mistake - but wow Barbra left nothing out - I loved her description of all her movies that I re watched them and took note of what she was saying - just a wonderful giving loving caring human with a magical voice
