Publisher's Summary
Ellie has struggled to put the war behind her and lead a normal life. Although what's normal about your parents having been murdered; trying to run a farm and go to school; and bringing up a young boy who's hiding terrible secrets about his past?
Critic Reviews
"Marsden has the rare skill of making his audience feel that they are part of the story and vicariously another character. Ellie speaks directly to them and in their language". (The Age)

Changed narrator
The changed narrator is disappointing, the new one speaks almost 1 tone making it challenging to know who’s talking between characters. No variation in her voice.

Review
I thought the actual story was good but the change of narrators was VERY annoying in my opinion Susie daurary was a lot better than the new one. other than the narrator I thought the tomorrow when the war began series was great.

excellent writer!
Would you listen to Incurable again? Why?
I love the tomorrow series so had to get the ellie chronicles to find out the ending. The story was excellent but the change of narrater was very annoying and spoils it a bit, but would still recommend if you want to know the rest of the book.
What other book might you compare Incurable to, and why?
Tomorrow when the war began
Did the narration match the pace of the story?
Yes but i preferred the original Susie Doherty
If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
A young girls struggle against a war torn country
Any additional comments?
Great ending!

Why switch reader?!
I can’t believe the reader has been changed. She was perfect. I read this series as a young teenager over ten years ago, and 6 times since then.
All of the other books were read by someone who sounded like a strong woman. It made the audio experience amazing. This reader is weak. She sounds weak and nothing like Ellie ever would. She sounds like Fi. I won’t even finish this book. She’s horrible. Bad bad bad choice in reader!!!

Why the change?
Great Story , Enjoying the follow up to the Tomorrow series now that I have discovered it!
The narrator change is very frustrating though , after 7 books in the Tomorrow series and the first book in the Ellie Chronicles all being narrated by Suzi Doherty it is hard to listed to someone else voice Ellie.

Different narrator but still good
I don’t know why they changed the narrator, I thought I got the wrong book for a minute. It doesn’t sound like Ellie but I like the voice acting better, the other narrator was swapping her accents/voices around a lot in the last book. This is the voice I would have wanted from the beginning because I hated the other one at first, but got used to it. Anyway, so far this book is great! I wouldn’t mind reading what would have happened when she was older and an adult, too.

Why change the narrator?? I loved her. I still love her. You destroyed the whole thing. I may as well go back to reading the hard copy myself. Aggghhh!!

Different Narrator??? WHY
I love this series so much it’s been such a easy series to listen to but I just can’t get through this book since they changed narrator it doesn’t feel like the same Ellie. Nothing against the new narrator but she sounds older and not young like Ellie’s old voice . I’m actually really gutted but I will keep trying to get through this book.
