Story
The quest for social justice is a powerful crusade of our time, with an appeal to many different people, for many different reasons. But those who use the same words do not always present the same meanings. Clarifying those meanings is the first step toward finding out what we agree on and disagree on. From there, it is largely a question of what the facts are. Social Justice Fallacies reveals how many things that are thought to be true simply cannot stand up to documented facts, which are often the opposite of what is widely believed.

Since Darwin's day, we've been told that sexual monogamy comes naturally to our species. But this narrative is collapsing....

A book of two parts
- By Daylan on 31-03-2021
Publisher's Summary
On his final day alive, Scribe convenes a reunion of his closest friends. Though they’d been separated since a harrowing climb on Mt. Kilimanjaro, Scribe hopes the gathering will inspire an actionable plan for humanity in the face of existential challenges. Through a series of conversations, debates, and negotiations, the participants develop a blueprint for the way forward.
Writing as “Zero,” author Bryan Johnson is an entrepreneur and explorer of the new frontiers of being human. Johnson took stock of his health and realized that a decade of chronic depression and poor cognitive control earlier in life had affected every measure of his well-being. He decided it was time to fight back. In DON’T DIE, Johnson catalogs the social and philosophical strategies necessary for the fight, both individually and as a species. Johnson’s controversial ideas and methods have attracted both detractors and devoted followers around the globe.

Please, dear friends, don't die with me.
An existentially critical modern philosophy book.
Skillfully characterising inner-parts to guide the listener through highly emotionally charged and complex topics, including: self-harm, a life well lived, sacrifice, depression, internal alignment and de-(or pro-)motion of the conscious mind.
I hope this book contributes to the evolution of human culture, the kind that may enable us to thrive throughout the development of Artificial General Intelligence and beyond.

Bryan Johnson is good at many things, writing might not be one of them
I really like Bryan, and I like blueprint but this was an absolute slog to get through
Its just non stop pseudo-conceptual self gratification, like when a friends older brother gets high and tries to get philosophical but with no real substance
Maybe I’m not smart enough to appreciate it? Or maybe it just doesn’t know what it wants to say
