Complete Sherlock Holmes - Heirloom collectiom
Have been a fan of Mr Holmes & Dr Watson for many years.
Have hardback and ebook collections.
Needed a decent audiobook of the whole for a long time. Used Librivox for a longtime but the app isn't brilliant and as the readings are mostly free there is a lot that didn't suit my aural standards.
Trawled Audible for a while before settling on this one. I did listen to a few samples, each more than once, including the wonderful Stephen Fry version but once I heard the Simon Vance edition there was no viable alternative.
If I have one whinge about this version it's the fact that each story, including the four novellas, is not accorde it's own natural distinction - for example "A scandal in Bohemia" doesn't appear under that title as the individual stories are concatenated into arbitrary audio chapters. That means you cannot browse Chapters to select a particular story, other than by adding a note or bookmark.
Fairly minor considering the excellence of narration and recording quality.

Fantastic story told brilliantly.
I truly enjoyed this book, clearly read, one for all to enjoy.
All books read by Simon Vance have proved worth listening to.

This performance is perfect.
I really don't know why they bothered to redo this with Stephen Fry, this performance is perfect. Listening to this I can see in my mind Watson, Holmes and everyone they encounter, (whenever I listen to Fry all I can see is Fry). This is definitely the far better version, once you've heard it, this will be Watson's and Holmes' voices in your mind forever more....

Amazing!
Such a talented reader! and he did different voices for all the characters. I think it took me a month, maybe more... to get through the whole thing. And that was listening to 2-3 hours pretty much every day. Great value at $15!!!

Loved every minute of Sherlock
The authors language is just beautiful and the narrator, Simon Vance, made a spectacular performance with perfection. I am tempted to listen to the entire 58 hours again and most likely will. Thank you for making such wonderful material so much more accessible.

loved it! the narrator is awesome speaking in different voices and with different accents. Some of the stories I knew, but most were completely new to me.

Fantastic!
This book was wonderfully performed!
A true display of the masterful mind of Arthur Conan Doyle.
I would recommend it to anyone whole loves crime fiction, and needs to know the canon of that genre.

Excellent performance!
Surely everyone knows Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's work, so the writing needs no review. But it really comes to life with this performance; it is exceptional.
