In The Psychology of Money, award-winning author Morgan Housel shares 19 short stories exploring the strange ways people think about money.

Little book with one simple message
- By Rafi Al Kabid on 31-05-2020
Publisher's Summary
The new book from author of The Barefoot Investor, the #1 all-time Australian bestseller
If you want the kids in your life to be good with money, have them listen to this book. Teaching kids about money isn't easy. So let Scott Pape, the Barefoot Investor, do it for you! His books have sold millions of copies and counting...and now he's written a guide book you can hand straight to KIDS!
No, seriously: this is one book kids will WANT to listen to.
Scott takes them on an epic, thrilling money ADVENTURE - with fun projects, rewards and inspiring stories from 45 kids. Kids will roll up their sleeves, get their hands dirty, and learn the value of a buck the old-fashioned way.
Over six action-packed steps, Scott teaches kids:
- Why they should help out around the house for free
- How to set up their own money buckets
- How to SAVE for (and get) anything they want (that their parents approve of)
- How to turbocharge their savings by running their own mini business
- Why they should use their GIVE bucket to make a real difference to other people (kindness counts!)
- How to kick-start a lifetime of compound interest by investing with as little as $5
As the parent, you'll call all the shots, of course - but you won't have to lift a finger. The kids will do all the work (and they'll love it!). You'll be blown away by what they achieve.
This audiobook holds the secret to raising smart, resilient, kind and hard-working kids who will grow up knowing how to manage their money. Give this book to every kid you know. It's the best investment you can make in their future.
Scott Pape is the Barefoot Investor. Since 2002, he’s reached millions of Australians through his email newsletter, national weekend newspaper columns, appearances on TV and radio and his bestselling books, The Barefoot Investor and The Barefoot Investor for Families.
He has worked with the heads of government, schools across the country, AFL and NRL teams, bushfire survivors, and some of the most vulnerable people in our community. In 2020, Scott was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for ‘service to the community and to financial education’. Scott gave up his financial services license in 2020 to become a volunteer financial counsellor.
He lives in country Victoria with his wife, Liz, and their four children on their family farm and is often seen belting around in an old ute that doesn’t need to be locked.

Excellent
Excellent. The most important book a child should ever read. The audio book is particularly effective, as you hear from the kids (in their own voices), which makes it more relatable and brings you closer to their stories.
