Story
Ellingham Academy is a famous private school in Vermont for the brightest thinkers, inventors, and artists. It was founded by Albert Ellingham, an early 20th century tycoon, who wanted to make a wonderful place full of riddles, twisting pathways, and gardens. "A place," he said, "where learning is a game." Shortly after the school opened, his wife and daughter were kidnapped. The only real clue was a mocking riddle listing methods of murder, signed with the frightening pseudonym "Truly, Devious".

Story
Kay Donovan has skeletons in her closet, but who doesn't? The past is the past, and now Kay's a star soccer player whose group of gorgeous, pedigreed friends run their private school with effortless popularity and acerbic wit. But when a girl's body is found in the lake, Kay's carefully constructed life begins to topple. The dead girl has left a memento, a computer-coded scavenger hunt, which, as it unravels, begins to implicate each of Kay's friends, until Kay herself is in the crosshairs of the murder investigation.

Story
Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders. But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away...because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them. With fewer dragons willing to bond than cadets, most would kill Violet to better their own chances of success.

Story
Everyone knows the Ivies: the most coveted universities in the United States. Far more important are the Ivies. The Ivies at Claflin Academy, that is. Five girls with the same mission: to get into the Ivy League by any means necessary. I would know. I'm one of them. We disrupt class ranks, club leaderships, and academic competitions...among other things. We improve our own odds by decreasing the fortunes of others. Because hyper-elite competitive college admissions is serious business. And in some cases, it's deadly.

Most schools are about being the best. This school? It's about being the worst. Calder Academy is where the rogue paranormals go. The ones who break the rules or lose control. And when that happens for vamps, werewolves, witches, and dark fae? It gets pretty freaking scary. I should know. Because I'm trapped here.

I'm in the business of creating fairy tales. Theme parks. Production companies. Five-star hotels. Everything could be all mine if I renovated Dreamland. My initial idea of hiring Zahra was good in theory, but then I kissed her. Things spiraled out of control once I texted her using an alias. By the time I realized where I went wrong, it was too late. People like me don't get happy endings. Not when we're destined to ruin them.

Not as good as the rest
I really enjoyed this but it got a bit slow. Too much description in some places and not enough action. Pip is a badass though. SPOLIERS!! I wanted to kill Jason bell myself. And omg the part we’re Jason (DT) was taunting her creeped me out and made me paranoid

Overall a pretty good read
I much preferred the first and second book to this one, the storyline was slow in some sections and a little difficult to read it took me multiple attempts to read this book because of this. SPOILERS!!! Pip! I have no words! Jason Bell had it coming for him and honestly those chapters had me on the edge of my seat! This book was an awesome ending to the trilogy and I will definitely read the series again!

You can almost skip it
Look, I loved the first two. But this one was mostly dull.
The mystery and crime in it is about 15% of the story. The rest is just Pip dealing with the trauma of the last two books and it’s very repetitive. We get it, she feels bad, but every second sentence is “blood?” Gets old fast.
I listened at 1.5 speed and I was tempted to hurry the narration up even more, can’t imagine how slow she must have been speaking in real time! A big let down to what I thought was an awesome story. Won’t bother with the prequel.

Not what i was expecting at all
I enjoyed this book, however, I really feel like there were so many loose ends that I kept getting underwhelmed and things were just left behind.
I don't think the way Pip carried out the main plot was realistic to who she was as a person, but I did enjoy the details of her plans.
My main issue honestly is that Pip quite obviously was suffering from PTSD and this was shown by the author so many times throughout the book that I was disappointed in the fact that this wasn't explored more by the author, in the way Pip received help of any kind or even her family noticing this, it sounded so severe there is no way no one noticed.
I don't regret reading this because it was overall a great series, but I would hesitate to re-read this book again.
